Thoughtful reflection is a core value in effective practice with young children and their families, and efforts to support the development of reflective capacity contribute to a strong, competent workforce. One such effort is the implementation of reflective
practice, increasingly considered a promising practice for increasing competence and the quality and effectiveness of service delivery. To best implement and benefit from this approach, it is necessary for practitioners to reflect on the importance of developing
critical thinking skills, mindfulness and self-awareness. During this 6-hour introductory course delivered in an interactive online classroom, you will learn about what reflective practice is and how you can learn through and from your experiences to gain
a new understanding of yourself, and your practice. You will also learn strategies for preparing for reflective practice sessions and for becoming a thoughtful reflective practitioner.
Join us for a 6-hour course in a live interactive online classroom to learn about what reflective practice is and how you can learn through and from your experiences to gain a new understanding of yourself, and your practice. The interactive online class will
meet Tuesdays and Thursdays for three weeks. Meeting times will be posted and sent out with the course syllabus. At the completion of the course you will earn a certificate of attendance.
